The Salt Water Spider kit is an educational toy that helps children learn concepts of science by bringing the toy spider to life using saltwater. The kit contains plastic materials which help you build the spider with a fuel cell plate on which the saltwater is added. You will also get a water dropper using which you will add the saltwater to the fuel cell plate. Step by step instructions is included to guide you on how to build the spider and assemble all the pieces then make it work using saltwater. This toy teaches children the possibilities of clean fuel and how saltwater can be used to power stuff. As you assemble the pieces, you will also learn about robotics. It does not need any batteries to work, and there are no toxic substances used in this toy. When the saltwater is added to the fuel cell plate, the metal on the plate reacts with the saltwater to produce hydrogen which in turn attracts to the cathode creating a flow of electrons to power the spider and make it move. It is approximately 23cm long and 20cm wide and recommended for children over 8 years old.
